This questionnaire is designed to help us screen potential buyers, to ensure our puppies' end up in the loving, forever homes they deserve. It also helps us to determine your needs so that we can help you choose the best puppy to suit your lifestyle. Answering the questionnaire doesn't guarantee you will get a pup but will help us decide if one of our pups is a good match for your needs. Where will the puppy spend the day if left alone? How many hours on the average will the puppy be left alone? Where will the puppy spend its evenings? Will this puppy have regular contact with its family during the evenings? Where will this puppy sleep? What form of discipline do you use to correct an inappropriate behavior? Are you aware that it positive reinforcement and several weeks before the puppy is house trained and able to go the entire night without an accident? How will you deal with house breaking or the occasional accident in the home? What are your feeling about crate training? Have you ever owned a dog before? Where is that pet now and why? Have you ever surrendered a dog to the SPCA/Humane Society? If so, Why? Are you aware that a Pembroke Welsh Corgi can live to be 15 years old? Are you prepared to live with this dog for its life time? They are a life time commitment. Dogs are not disposable! Do you have any other animals? What type? Are they good with other animals? Have they been around puppies? Does anyone in your household have allergies to dogs? Do all household members agree to the addition of a dog? What is your knowledge of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi? What do you expect the activity level of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi to be? Are you aware that the Pembroke Welsh Corgi shed a lot and requires daily brushing to keep the shedding to a minimal? (no preference will make it easier for us to select a great pup for your life style) Would you consider a "Long" coat puppy? (the long coat is typically longer than normal with extra fur around the ears, back of the legs and tail by about 3 inches) The social/temperament stability of a puppy is greatly influenced by the amount of contact it has with the rest of the world. Are you willing to attend puppy socialization and basic training classes with an emphases on positive reinforcement? If yes, Where would you attend classes?
